Did you know that Jesus Christ prays for you? It’s one thing to have people on earth pray for you, but how would you like the Son of God to pray for you? Jesus prays for those who trust IN him as their Lord and Savior. Hebrews 7:25 says, “Therefore he is able, once and forever, to SAVE those who come to God through him. He lives forever to intercede with God ON…THEIR…BEHALF” (emphasis mine).
Jesus is our advocate. In Greek, the word for advocate is paráklētos which means which means “helper, adviser, or counselor.”
So how do you get Jesus Christ to pray for you? Accept Him as your Lord and Savior when God prompts you in your heart for only God can save you. Ephisians 2:8-9 (LSB) says, “For by grace you have been saved through faith, and this not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not of works, so that no one may boast.”
How can you accept Christ? There are no magic phrases. No pastor can save you. No baptism can save you. Only God, through the Holy Spirit, can save you, so if truly feel a prompting and really, in your heart, want to accept Him, invite Him. Here is a simple prayer. “Jesus, come into my heart. I proclaim you my Lord and Savior. Forgive me of my sins.”
If you feel a prompting in your heart, it may be God enouraging you to accept His Son now as there is no second chance after you die.
