What does God make the most promises about in the Bible?
God makes more promises in the Bible about generosity or giving than He does about anything else including prayer, love, or patience. God gave first, so we give back to God who sustains us. “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” (John 3:16; NIV) When we give, God promises this: “Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this,” says the Lord Almighty, “and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that there will not be room enough to store it.” (Malachi 3:10; NIV)
Is there a caution about giving?
Yes. Never give to get. If you give under pressure, it’s not a blessing that you will receive. 2 Corinthians 9:7 in the NIV says: “Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.” So why does God make more promises about generosity and giving? Because God is generous, he wants us to become like Him. Everything we have in life is because of the generosity and grace of a giving God. “From his abundance we have all received one gracious blessing after another.” (John 1:16; NLT)
Is there anything else I should know about giving?
Another reason God wants us to learn to give and to be generous in our giving is because giving is hard. Giving challenges our selfishness. Most of us would rather spend it all on ourselves. That’s basic human nature —- all about “me, me, me.” So God gives rewards for us when we are learning to be like him.
What does Treasure Top do with my gifts and donations?
It is our mission and responsibility to help as many people as possible to receive a permanent reservation to enter Heaven, a reservation that no one can take from them. All gifts and donations are used to spread this Good News through broadcast TV, broadcast radio, YouTube, and social media for a deeper understanding of who Jesus Christ is and why it matters. I do this for free; I do not take a salary from Treasure Top.
What’s the impact of my giving?
Our messages are broadcast monthly on Nashville TV stations, radio stations, YouTube, and Facebook/Instagram.
