If There Had Been No Easter

Imagine a world without Easter. Without the resurrection of Jesus Christ, preaching would be pointless, faith would be empty, sin would triumph, and death would have the final word. The Apostle Paul makes this strikingly clear:

“And if Christ has not been raised, then our preaching is vain, your faith also is vain” (1 Corinthians 15:14).

It’s been said, “If Jesus Christ is still in that grave, nothing really matters. But if Jesus Christ came out of that grave, then nothing but that really matters.” The resurrection is not just a doctrinal detail—it is the cornerstone of the Christian faith.

Without it, there’s no victory over sin. Romans 6:9 tells us,

“knowing that Christ, having been raised from the dead, is never to die again; death no longer is master over Him.”

The resurrection validated Jesus’ identity and His claims. The Bible records at least 12 post-resurrection appearances of Jesus Christ, witnessed by individuals, small groups, and over 500 people at once (1 Corinthians 15:3–8). These weren’t mystical visions—they were real, physical encounters with the risen Savior.

The resurrection proves that Jesus is who He claimed to be—the Son of God and the only way to eternal life. Jesus said,

“Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life; he who believes in Me will live even if he dies,” (John 11:25)

If you’ve never accepted Christ but feel a stirring in your heart, understand this: the stirring may be the Holy Spirit drawing you to salvation.

“No one can come to Me unless the Father who sent Me draws him; and I will raise him up on the last day” (John 6:44).

No preacher, no magic phrases, no baptism, no church, not even your own good deeds can save you. Only Jesus can save you.

Today, you can turn to Him. Admit your sin, ask for forgiveness, believe that Jesus rose from the grave, and proclaim Him as Lord and Savior.

“that if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved;” (Romans 10:9)

Let Easter remind you: death is not the end, sin does not have to win, and hope is alive—because Jesus is alive:

Hebrews 7:25 says,

“Therefore He is able also to save forever those who draw near to God through Him, since He always lives to make intercession for them.”

This verse in Hebrews means that Jesus prays for all of His children – those who believe, those who repent of their sins, and have accepted Him as their Lord and Savior.
