The Lie about Baptism

Baptism

The Baptism Lie

Did you know you’ve been LIED to, if someone told you, that you must be baptized to go to Heaven? Baptism cannot save you because if it could, that would mean you had to work for your salvation by doing the baptism ritual, and you cannot do a “work” to be saved.

To add anything to the gospel is to say that Jesus’ death on the cross was not sufficient to purchase your salvation.

Good works do not get you into Heaven even if you gave away 100 million dollars to charity. “For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith — and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God – not by works, so that no one can boast.” (Ephesians 2:8-9 NIV)

Only when you accept the free gift of salvation from Jesus Christ are you guaranteed eternal life in Heaven. Once you have accepted Christ, it is important to be baptized as it is the action of being immersed in the water that illustrates dying and being buried with Christ. Coming up out of the water is the public picture of Christ’s resurrection and now your new life in Him.

Rejecting Jesus Christ as the one and only Savior leaves an unbeliever without any hope for salvation. Therefore, rejecting the one and only pardon is the unpardonable sin. John 3:36: “Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life, but whoever rejects the Son will not see life, for God’s wrath remains on them.”

Jesus said, “No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws them, and I will raise them up at the last day” (John 6:44 NIV). This means it is God who chooses us; we do not choose Him.

You can have a future in Heaven. Invite Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior into your heart. You can pray,  “Jesus, come in to my heart. I proclaim you my Lord and Savior. Forgive me of my sins.”

When you invite Christ into your heart and you mean what you say, the Holy Spirit will descend upon you and will guide you for the rest of your life on earth. You will still have some of the same problems initially that you had before, and some of the same problems afterward, but how you react to those problems going forward and how you deal with those problems going forward will be different, and it’s your reaction that will lead to a greater peace in your life. You will have a lot less anger, bitterness, resentment, and unresolved conflict. Wouldn’t you like that? If you feel the prompting of God calling you, accept Christ now and get that power, for only God can save you.
