Long-term does not work
Do you know why self-help books DON’T help you long-term and you’re back to the same old problems in just a few days? That’s because self-help books tell you WHAT to do, but they don’t give you the POWER to do, to change. Isaiah 50:10 in the Bible says, “For anyone who doesn’t know where you’re going, anyone groping in the dark, here’s what to do: Trust in God. Yes, LEAN on God!” Psalms 119 verse 105: “Your words are a flashlight to light the path ahead of me and keep me from stumbling.” You don’t need to turn over a new LEAF; you need to turn over a new LIFE. And that LIFE comes from the LIGHT of Jesus Christ.
The light and power to change
How do you find the LIGHT and the POWER to change? Start out by reading 1 chapter in the Book of Proverbs each day and 1 chapter in the Book of John each day. How long will it take? About 10 minutes. To GET the word, you’ve got to get IN the Word.
