In this episode, Pastor John talks about why Good Friday before Easter is not Bad Friday.

Transcript

Shouldn’t Good Friday before Easter really be known as Bad Friday? After all, Jesus Christ was crucified on a wooden cross and died a horrific death. The answer is, “No.” Romans 8:28 (NIV) says, “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose.”

Jesus Christ was willing to die on the cross for you; that’s how much He loved YOU.

No matter what you have ever done

No matter what you have ever DONE bad, Jesus paid for ALL of it on the cross, and NOTHING can keep you from eternal life in Heaven OTHER THAN to deny Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. If Jesus had not died on the cross and risen from the dead, your faith would be worthless, and there would be no afterlife in heaven.

If you feel a stirring or prompting in your heart that you have not felt before or maybe have ignored before, it could be God through the Holy Spirit asking you to accept his Son as your Lord and Savior. If you reject the prompting of the Holy Spirit, you remove yourself from the only force (the power of the Holy Spirit) that can lead you to repentance and restoration to God. Genuine conversion (“born again”) involves both the Spirit’s convicting work and the person’s conscious decision to repent and believe.

That’s why Good Friday is not Bad Friday.
