What Happens When Experiencing Financial Bankruptcy?
Experiencing financial bankruptcy can profoundly impact one’s individual’s spiritual well-being, often leading to a profound period of introspection and re-evaluation of one’s values and life priorities. This challenging time can become an unexpected journey towards spiritual growth and renewal. As material possessions and worldly status are stripped away, the essence of one’s faith and personal beliefs may come to the forefront.
Content in All Circumstances
The Apostle Paul speaks to the strength found in faith from being in Christ, strength that allows one to be content and resilient in all circumstances, underscoring the spiritual empowerment that comes from reliance on God’s strength: “I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want. I can do all this through him who gives me strength” (Philippians 4:12-13; NIV).
How Do We Get into Heaven?
Faith brings salvation. “‘…for Whoever will call upon the name of the Lord will be saved.” How then shall they call upon Him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in Him whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher?…'” (Romans 10:13; NASB).
To enter heaven, we must first admit that in our spirit, no matter how wealthy or poor we may be in the material world, in the spiritual realm we are absolutely totally bankrupt and a beggar before God.
