The Lie
If someone has told you that there’s no way you can ever be forgiven for what you’ve done, and they tell you, “Don’t even think about going to Heaven,” know that Jesus Christ died on the cross not for some of our sins, but for all of our sins, past, present and even the sins we are about to commit.
The Only Sin that Can Keep You Out of Heaven…
is to deny Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. John 3:16 says, “For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.”
Only God Can Save You
Don’t be fooled by some preacher who tells you to just repeat magic phrases to be saved for eternity in heaven. Only God can save you. Ephesians 2:8-9 (NASB) in the Bible tells us, “For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not as a result of works, so that no one may boast.” This passage means that no amount of good works on earth can pave the way for anyone to go to heaven.
If you feel a prompting you in your heart, it may be God who is inviting you to accept His Son as your Lord and Savior. You can accept Christ with a simple prayer like this: “Jesus, I invite you into my heart. I proclaim you my Lord and Savior. I repent of my sins. Forgive me for the sins I have committed.”
If you just prayed that prayer with a true heart, and only God knows, you will have eternal life in Heaven, and NO ONE can snatch heaven away from you. How do we know that? Jesus says in John 10:27-30 (NASB) says, “‘My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me; and I give eternal life to them, and they will never perish; and no one will snatch them out of My hand. “My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of the Father’s hand. “I and the Father are one.’”
