The Most Dividing Question
The most dividing question in the world is, “What are you going to do about Jesus?” Have you ever noticed just the mention of Jesus upsets people? Luke 12 beginning in verse 52 Jesus says, “From now on there will be five in one family divided against each other…father against son…son against father… mother against daughter…daughter against mother… mother-in-law against daughter-in-law and daughter-in-law against mother-in-law.” That happened when Christ was on earth, and it’s still happening today.
What Matters Most
But what matters most is where you are going to spend eternity, not who’s against who on earth. Jesus knew there would be division because of Him. And we have free will to make the choice: do we accept Christ or not? We either stand with Christ and spend eternal life in Heaven with Him as our reward, or we deny Christ and spend eternal life in Hell.
