Bad News
I have bad news for you. If someone told you, “You’ll never change. You’ll never stop drinking, never stop taking drugs, never get out of debt, never stop being angry all the time, never stop looking at porn, you’ll NEVER…and you know what? They’re right. You WILL never IF you rely on your own power to change. The truth is, we are too weak on our own to make the significant changes that matter.
Good News
We need the POWER of the Holy Spirit, and you can have that same POWER that raised Jesus Christ from the dead. Acts 1:8 says “You will receive POWER when the Holy Spirit comes on you.” How do you GET the power? Just pray this prayer: “Jesus, come into my heart…I make you my Lord and Savior…Forgive me of my sins.” If you just prayed that prayer and you REALLY meant it, and only God knows your heart, you can ask the Holy Spirit to help you when you are in trouble.
