Doomed?
Maybe you’ve ended up somewhere you never wanted to be. Maybe you’ve done things you feel like you can’t undo. Maybe you have thought to yourself, “There is no way I could ever get out of this mess. I’m doomed. I’m on the way to hell when I die.”
The good news is that your story is not over yet. And the proof is if you are still breathing, God is not done with you yet!
Salvation Is a Gift of God
You can’t change the past or even the circumstances under which you were born, but you can change your final destination if God is calling you. If you are not a Christian but feel a stirring in your heart, it may be God calling you to accept His Son, Jesus Christ, as your Lord and Savior. Accept Jesus now. Ask forgiveness of your sins. Only God can save you. Repent of your sins. There is no second chance to accept Jesus after you die so.
In his letter to the Ephesian church, the apostle Paul, who wrote half of the New Testament (thirteen of the twenty-seven books in the New Testament), wrote down the Holy Spirit-inspired Word of God. Ephesians 2:8-9 (LSB) says,
For by grace you have been saved through faith, and this not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not of works, so that no one may boast.
