Why Does It Matter Jesus Came to Earth?

It matters because all sin must be paid for, and we are powerless on our own to pay for our own sins. The questions is, who is going to pay for your sin and my sin? Are we going to do it ourselves, or are we going to accept the free gift of salvation from Jesus Christ who died and paid the price for all of the sins of those who have accepted Him as their Lord and Savior?

The Apostle Paul in Romans 6:23 (NIV) said, “For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

If someone rejects the free gift of salvation that Jesus Christ offers and does not repent (repent means to turn away from one’s sins), when a person dies a physical death their next destination is Hell followed later by the Lake of Fire for eternity.
